Interested in helping EVCO?
We’re always looking for volunteers to help with events, especially now with the EV Experience happening over the next several months! Your help will be very much appreciated.
Interest in EVs is at an all time high so our events have been very busy and we need lots of help! The following information is everything you need to know to get you started as an EVCO volunteer.
We know that some of you may not have EVs yet or have EVs that are older or less popular. Not to worry! We need volunteers with cars, but also need volunteers to help with the public in various ways like answering questions about EVs or just talking about your experiences with an EV. We also always need help coordinating test drives. So even if you don’t have an EV or if you don’t think your car will be popular come help us anyway! We will do our best to keep you busy and entertained.
Steps to becoming an EVCO volunteer:
Step 1 – Become a paid EVCO member (ie member in good standing).

Being a member of EVCO gives you a say in how our organization is run, allows you to participate in EVCO events, gives you access to the EVCO print and video library (you’ll need this for some volunteer training!) and gives us a way to contact you (since you’ll be one of our members!).
Step 2 – Once you’re an EVCO member

Step 3 – You’re almost done!
The last step is to email us at volunteer@evco.ca to let us know you’ve completed the technical training and are ready to volunteer! You can also let us know if you’d like to help with EV-experience events too! EV-X events require a bit more training and some forms to complete which will all be sent as an email to you if you express interest in volunteering for EV-X in addition to EVCO-only events.
